METRO ARCHIVES NOTES: Metro Council Committee History The Metro Council Finance/Budget Committee was disbanded at the end of December, 1998. Beginning in January, 1999, the Metro Council decided to address finance/budget issues within the context of Metro Council Work Sessions. In January, 2000, the Metro Council decided to move the Budget/Finance Committee from a committee of the whole to a regularly standing committee. In January 2003, the Metro Council Budget and Finance Committee was disbanded (along with all Metro Council standing committees.
