METRO ARCHIVES NOTES: Metro Council Committee History The Metro Council Regional Facilities Committee was previously named Convention, Zoo and Visitors Facilities Committee (1989-1990). Beginning in January, 1999, the Regional Facilities Committee was incorporated into the new Metro Council Operations Committee (along with the Governmental Affairs Committee). In January, 2001, the Metro Council decided to incorporate the Metro Operations Committee into the new Metro Council Regional Facilities and Metro Operations Committee. In January 2003, the Metro Council Regional Facilities and Metro Operations Committee was disbanded (along with all Metro Council standing committees).
