METRO ARCHIVES NOTES: METRO COUNCIL COMMITTEE HISTORY The Metro Council Transportation Planning Committee was previously named Transportation and Planning (1991-1992), Planning (1993-1994), Transportation Planning (June, 1995 to December 2000). In January, 2001, the Metro Council decided to incorporate the Transportation Planning Committee into the new Metro Council Community Planning Committee (along with the Growth Management Committee). In January, 2002, the Metro Council decided to reinstate Transportation as a standing Council committee (removing transportation issues from the purview of the Council Community Planning Committee). In January 2003, the Metro Council Transportation Committee was disbanded (along with all Metro Council standing committees). PLEASE NOTE: Transportation and Planning, and Planning minutes (from 1991-1994) are located in the Growth Management Committee minutes record.
