CONSIDERATION OF THE OCTOBER 6, 1998, GROWTH MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING (Action Requested: Motion to adopt minutes)

PUBLIC HEARING ON POSSIBLE MOVEMENT OF THE URBAN GROWTH BOUNDARY (UGB), WITH EMPHASIS ON URBAN RESERVE SITES 4, 5, 14, AND 15

Testimony time will be limited at the discretion of the chair. Written testimony may be submitted to the committee clerk.

The Growth Management Committee will begin hearing public testimony on where to expand the UGB. At the Oct. 13th meeting the committee will focus on the following urban reserves:

4 and 5  (East County)

14 and 15  (East County)

At future meetings, the committee and the full Council will be conducting public hearings specific to other urban reserve areas and possible UGB expansion. The committee may allow testimony on these other urban reserves on Oct. 13, if time allows. Final Council action on UGB movement is expected on Dec. 3, 1998.
