GROWTH MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE REPORT

CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 98-788A, FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING THE METRO URBAN GROWTH BOUNDARY AND THE 2040 GROWTH CONCEPT MAP IN ORDINANCE 95-625A IN URBAN RESERVE AREA 55 OF WASHINGTON COUNTY.

Committee Action: At its November 3, 1998 meeting, the Growth Management Committee voted 3-0 to recommend Council Ordinance No. 98-788A. Voting in favor: Councilors Monroe, Morissette and Kvistad.

Council Issues/Discussion: This ordinance, as introduced into committee, originally contained sites 43, 47 and 55 (inside the Metro boundary). Sites 43 and 47 having previously been dealt with in another ordinance, Councilor Monroe moved to amend Ordinance 98-788 to include only those areas of site #55 within Metro’s jurisdictional boundary. As amended this site is approximately 356 acres and can accommodate 1,405 dwelling units and 520 jobs based on Metro’s productivity analysis.
