DOC22/1167
Note to File: The accompanying map shows the dam in a slightly different location, farther into Bybee Lake. The Port of Portland wanted to raise the dam higher and add a larger culvert. The dam location is consistent with the 1996 aerial in the Photo_history collection in S&B science files on the M drive. This provides additional documentation of various dams appearing and disappearing over the 20th century. Documents include: A letter from the Port of Portland to the City of Portland regarding permission to install a culvert pipe at the Columbia Slough to control water flow from Smith Lake (September 20, 1967) Box PN000037 / Folder 18
