METRO ARCHIVE NOTES: Metro Council Committee History The Metro Council Growth Management Committee was previously named Transportation Planning (1991-1992); Planning (1993-1994); and Land Use Planning (January - September, 1995). In January, 2001, the Metro Council decided to incorporate the Growth Management Committee into the new Metro Council Community Planning Committee (along with the Transportation Planning Committee). In January 2003, the Metro Council Community Planning Committee was disbanded (along with all Metro Council standing committees).
